Halloween Festival
At ISWA, it has become a tradition that every year around Halloween, the school organizes a 'trunk or treat' down at the oval on a saturday afternoon. The organizers often ask for both parent and student volunteers, and this year I decided to help out. We were asked to all come in costumes and we had the choice of selling raffle tickets, organizing a game, or selling food and drinks. I was asked to sell hot dogs and drinks.
Learning Outcomes
You have worked collaboratively with others.
As I had to work at a food stand for the majority of the time with parents I did not know at first, it was all quite new, but everybody was in a good mood and it was a pleasant atmosphere to be around. In order to keep the stand flowing, we had to work efficiently and communicate clearly to each other as someone was usually taking orders and the others were actually preparing the food.
