Learning How To Drive
Over the six week break over Christmas, my friend and I decided to get our driving learner's permit. We studied the theory for a few weeks before taking the online test which we both passed. That meant that we could both start to drive using our L-plates. When we both passed, I was feeling very exited and motivated to start learning, but at the same time I was quite frightened. The first time I got behind the wheel, I suddenly felt a lot of responsibility land on my shoulders as I scared for both my safety and the safety of people around me.
As time passed, I slowly gained more confidence when driving, and was even dropping off friends and family at various destinations. Twice a week, before and after school I was also taking lessons which were very helpful, especially when it came to road rules and parking. I now have over twenty five hours which means I can start booking my test, but I would rather get more practice so I have no doubts in my driving whatsoever.
From learning how to drive, I have not only learned how much responsibility it truly takes, but also the amount of new skills and knowledge you have to become aware of that you normally wouldn't if you were the passenger.

Learning Outcomes:
You have developed new skills.
My fist time driving was obviously a new skill for me and it was a very new experience for me. I did not realise how much responsibly it took to be able to manage a car, but through the many lessons with my instructor and family members, I became less nervous and eventually gained enough confidence to pass my exam and get my hours in.
